How we handle your information

Pawsitively Southern LLC is a small grooming, pet sitting and dog walking business in Simpsonville, South Carolina. We collect the details we need to care for your dog and to reach you — nothing more. We do not sell your personal information, and we never have.

Who we are

Pawsitively Southern LLC ("we", "us", "our") operates this website and provides grooming, pet sitting and dog walking services in the Greenville and Upstate area of South Carolina. This policy explains how we handle information about you — the owner — and about your pet.

You can reach us any time at pawsitively.southern.llc@gmail.com or (864) 734-5096.

What we collect

We only ask for what a grooming appointment actually requires:

  • Contact details — your name, phone number, email address, and (for pet sitting and dog walking) your home address and access instructions.
  • Pet details — your dog's name, breed, age, coat condition, temperament notes, medical or mobility needs, veterinarian, and proof of current rabies vaccination.
  • Appointment records — services performed, dates, groomer notes, prices, and payment status. Card payments are processed by our payment provider; we never see or store full card numbers.
  • Messages you send us — texts, calls, emails, form submissions and Facebook messages, including anything you choose to tell us in them.
  • Website information — basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed and referring links, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

We do not ask for, and ask that you do not send us, sensitive information such as government identification numbers or financial account details.

How we use it

  • To confirm, schedule and prepare for your appointment — including the coat and behavior notes that keep your dog comfortable and our team safe.
  • To reach you about a booking, a running-late update, a pickup time, or something we noticed during a groom.
  • To take payment and keep the records a small business is required to keep.
  • To send appointment reminders, and — only if you asked for them — a few newsletter emails a year.
  • To understand which pages of this site are useful, so we can improve them.
  • To protect our clients, our team and our animals, and to meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use it to make automated decisions about you.

Texts and phone calls

Our number accepts texts 24/7, and we confirm every request by phone. When you give us your phone number you are agreeing that we may call or text you about your appointments and your pet's care.

Appointment texts are transactional, not marketing. We do not send promotional text campaigns. Reply STOP at any time and we will stop texting you; we will still need a phone number on file to confirm bookings.

Message and data rates from your carrier may apply. We do not share your phone number with anyone for their own marketing.

Photographs of your pet

We love showing off a good haircut. We may photograph your dog before, during or after a groom and share those photos on this website, on Facebook, or in printed materials.

Photos are of your pet, not of you. We never publish your name, your address or your dog's medical notes alongside a photo.

If you would rather we did not photograph your dog, just tell us — at booking or at drop-off — and we will make a note on your file. If a photo of your dog is already published and you want it removed, email us and we will take it down.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses three kinds of cookies, and you choose which ones we may set:

  • Necessary — always on. These make pages load, remember your privacy choice, and keep forms working.
  • Analytics — off unless you allow them. These tell us, in aggregate, which pages people read and where they leave.
  • Marketing — off unless you allow them. These would let us measure whether an ad or a Facebook post brought someone here.

You can change your mind whenever you like using the Privacy Settings button in the corner of any page, or by clearing cookies in your browser. Your choice is stored on your own device.

Who we share it with

A short list, and only what each one needs:

  • Service providers — our booking system, payment processor, email and text provider, and website host.
  • Your veterinarian or an emergency clinic — if your pet needs care while in our hands.
  • Professional advisors and authorities — an accountant, or a legal request we are required to answer.

This site links to Facebook and may embed content from other services. Once you follow a link away from here, that company's own privacy policy applies, not ours.

How long we keep it

We keep client and pet records while you are a client and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that a returning dog's coat history and temperament notes are not lost. Payment and tax records are kept for as long as South Carolina and federal law require.

Newsletter subscriptions last until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained in aggregate. When information is no longer needed, we delete it.

How we protect it

Client records live in password-protected accounts on reputable, encrypted services, accessible only to the people who need them to do their job. Home access details for pet sitting clients are kept separately and shared only with the assigned sitter.

No system is perfect. If a breach ever affected your information, we would tell you promptly and plainly.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what information we hold about you and your pet;
  • correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
  • delete your information, where we are not required to keep it;
  • stop sending you newsletters or reminders;
  • remove a photo of your dog from our website or social media.

Email pawsitively.southern.llc@gmail.com and we will respond within thirty days. We will never treat you differently for exercising any of these rights. Residents of states with their own privacy laws may have additional rights; tell us where you live and we will honor them.

Children's privacy

Our services are booked by adults. This website is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes and contact

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Continuing to use the site or book with us after a change means you accept the updated policy.
